Protect & Preserve -
DC Queer Theatre Festival 2018
After the murder of a Two-Spirit Trans Womxn, her lover, and fellow Two-Spirit, Apanpiltzin is unable to find healing. She is haunted by her very real fear of being murdered for being a Trans Womxn of Color. This short play is a tribute to the missing and murdered Indigenous Womxn of the American continent, and is in solidarity with all the Trans Womxn and Femmes of Color who have been murdered for daring to exist.
Nelwat Ishkamewe presents this play as part of the 2018 DC Queer Theatre Festival, with sponsorship by Trans Justice Funding Project and Trans-Latinx DMV.
