DMV-BASED TRANS NON-UNION ARTISTS:
Angel Rose Artist Collective, a DC-based, Two-Spirit-led theater troupe producing art for the Transgender community, by the Transgender community, and about the Transgender community, is seeking BIPOC Trans Actors, Singers, Directors, and Designers for various paid projects during the 2022-2023 theatrical season.
1) Seeking Black Trans Women, American Indian Trans Women, and Multiracial Trans Women Actors who Sing for a November 2022 in-person production of Ne Sihsiwayulu Nemit Nin (Trans Women Are Here) by Xemiyulu Tapepechul, for the following roles:
ALEX, Trans Woman in her late teens; a “Brown Trans Femme, just going with the flow,” facing housing displacement and family abandonment. (Seeking Trans Women, ages 18-35)
VARIOUS ROLES, Trans Women various ages; plays the spirit of all Trans Women, a hateful neighbor, la Llorona, a Nawat-speaking Elder, and others. (Seeking Spanish-speaking, Trans Women, any age)
2) Seeking Trans BIPOC Comedic Actors for a Spring 2023 virtual reading of “The Kind Mother (In Spite of Herself)” by Xemiyulu Tapepechul, for the following roles:
LA SEÑORA MAGDALENA, Trans Woman in her late 50s; a widow and the stepmother of Flor. She loves money and power.

MARIO, Trans Boy in his late teens; in love with Flor; in reality is a Duke. (Seeking Trans Men, ages 18-35)
FLOR, a Trans Girl in her late teens, in love with Mario; an orphan who lives with her stepmother, la Señora Magdalena. (Seeking Trans Women, ages 18-35)
CONCHITA, a Trans Woman in her 30s; the house servant of La Señora Magdalena, who is always playing tricks on La Senora Magdalena. Must be comfortable performing in drag. (Seeking Trans Women, ages 30-45)
EL ANCIANO ROBERTO, a cis man in his late 100s; a very Old Man. Played by a Trans Man or Non-Binary person. (Seeking Spanish-speaking, Trans Men and Non-Binary People, all ages 40+)
LX CURANDERX PAZ, a Non-Binary person in their late 30s; a healer and doctor of natural medicine. (Seeking Non-Binary People, ages 30-50)
3) Seeking Trans BIPOC Actors, Singers, Directors, Designers, and Theater Artists for various virtual and in-person projects (readings, workshops, etc.) in 2023.

For “THE KIND MOTHER (IN SPITE OF HERSELF)”: Headshot/Resume or Photo and Statement of Experience; and Unlisted Youtube Video: 2 contrasting comedic monologues/ poems/ narratives
For OTHER PROJECTS; actors, singers: Headshot/Resume or Photo and Statement of Experience; and Unlisted Youtube Video: either 2 contrasting monologues/ poems/ narratives or 1 monologue/ poem/ narrative and 1 song.
