The Cast of Indigenous Root Radio (Nelwat Ixkamewe Tanuzalis) presents another audio drama. This time, a Nawat and English adaptation from Oedipus the King by Sophocles. Tiutećan, the city of the Gods, is suffering a terrible curse: the loss of their ancestral language. A foreigner, Ikxisuluntuk (Swollen Foot), a fluent Nawat speaker arrives and quickly becomes the King of Tiutećan. But a life-long curse follows him, and he begs for answers from the city Elders. They send Ikxisuluntuk on a journey of self-discovery, betrayal, and self-doubt.
Ikxisuluntuk (Swollen Foot): a live radio play features Veronica Gomez Giraldo as Radio Host; Petrona Xemi Tapepechul as Tiutećan Elder 1; Wilmer Xuarez as Tiutećan Elder 2 & Ikxisuluntuk; Yereth Adorno as Tiutećan Elder 3 & Mezti Zihzinaga; Ahanu Tapepechul as Tiutećan Elder 4 & Guxgatan Shepherd; and Amal Nourelhuda as the Blind Seer.
